Minutes

  • Working on a date with UHC.
  • Leave webmail for now, until we have a permanent domain. Individual @queerwp.net addys can be procured from lordrich.
  • Leave video for now as it's very resource heavy. Make an embedded media field type for it.
  • Bandwidth is a huge unknown. Things we can do for now:
    • Keep file sizes down: 1024x1024 is max for images currently, similar limits for mp3 bitrates could be done.
    • Possibly move some content to dreamhost hosting as it has loads of space
    • When nearer RC stage, do some bandwidth estimates based on projected use
    • Cut down views cruft as much as poss
    • Throttle, vps with Varnish, Boost
  • lordrich to get firmer figures on colo.
  • Google is caching us and we don't really want this yet. Lordrich to edit robots.txt accordingly.
  • Namespace
    • OGs will be queerwp.net/groupname (myspace stylie)
    • MsM sites will be groupname.queerwp.net. lists.qwp and mail.qwp reserved, check these don't get taken over!
    • Other content types will be queerwp.net/nodetype/nid (audio, blog, book, list, image, feed, news, page, place, story, video)
    • Check this doesn't mess up group content types.
