- UHC flakiness - kim will email to say get in touch in Oct when you have someone, and we can see where we're both at.
- Possible visit to the north west drupal user group next month. Post to list nearer the time.
- Discussion on LJ vs facebook styles, see below. Opted to go with LJ style out of general preference.
- Think about what could be better than "create content"
- Try splitting files for MSM. Groups splitting will have to wait until someone has time to make a module! prob forever...
- Will consider new blog.qvox.org/blog_name, events.qvox.org/event_name namespace
- Will leave crossposting on for now and see what happens.
LJ
- + it's dead easy to find the publish button - but it needs to be really visible
- + Easy to crosspost and change crosspost options
- + This means comments will be more centralised
- + Single standardised interface
- ~ Centralized vs decentralized
- - Less intuitive for non LJ users.
- - Slight messyness wrt what content types are allowed in a group vs what types are allowed on the site as a whole. Will make create content form look complex.
Facebook
- + More intuitive to new users (probably) as links are where the UI elements are
- + Hiding a content-type within a group would also hide the publish button for that content type
- ~ more, simpler choices to get to the right place
- - Makes crossposting much harder
- - publish buttons would have to be very small or would take over the page
- - need to make more than one interface
- - menu hiding complication
