Present
Agenda
- What is our site remit going to be? The issue of hosting porn is a great place to kick this off, exactly what will we allow?
- porn/adult content/illegal adult content
- copyrighted material
- unpopular material
- libel/responding to legal threats
- legal ownership of domain/hosting
- racism/capitalism/homophobia
- who can use the site? Do groups have to be queer-based or just queer-friendly? Can any group create content that appears on the front page?
- come back to list of alternative domains, still no response from queer.net - maybe we should use an alternative?
Minutes
- Still no word on queer.net. qlove.org and qvox.org favourites at the moment. Will wait until nearer deployment to pick for good!
- Question of remit is very complicated. We want to site to be a safe space for queers, but realise this is contradictory. For now, we will do a full disclosure statement of personal intent and at some later point introduce community moderation. We are in principle happy for anything legal - although potentially will breach upcoming anti-bdsm laws. Very much a case by case issue for now.
- Lots of links for reporting offensive/copyrighted/libellous info. Will take down the latter 2 immediately and discuss the former with a moderation team.
- Will suggest that people upload their own content as creative commons/gpl
- No visual porn for now, until we get better advice, although we are pro it in principle. Strongly doubt there are any laws against aural porn.
- Look at getting legal advice if we ever get funding
- Make an isms paragraph for the ToS
- Kim to work on ToS
- lordrich to find out if we can get cheap hosting
- we really could do with funding but a lot of time and effort, so:
- lordrich to try and find some more devs on the drupal site
