What do we need in terms of hosting (ideally, and minimally)

  - MySQL 5

  - SSH
  - Secure http?
  - Ubuntu server would suit me. Kim. (and me. Lordrich)
  - Virtual server for Mailman or anything else?
  - Backup, access, other services on-site?
- Bandwidth and power requirements for that server
  - Lots of disk space (I got a 1TB drive for £100 today) for media and what will probably be a huge archive of syndicated news
  - Needs to be able to encode video>flash on the fly
  - Monthly Bandwidth requirements
  - Bandwidth speed
  - Amps needed
More discussion on the place content type - how do we want it to work/what do we want it to do?
- Global calendar to have a drop down by city, proximity to postcode, etc
- Input with address
- Gmap of all venues in database - filterable by whatever
- Place taxonomy? Gallery, venue, center, club, bar etc?

lordrich has been working on the mailman 2 module, which is going very nicely!
kim still working on og. image module current blocker, calendar kind of working now
colo: lordrich thinks we may be able to get a colo site for £50/mo. dan may be able to get free rackspace from his employer.
It's becoming clear we need to look for funding soon. Everyone to try and drag some people who may want to be invoveld to next process meeting!
