Directors

All interested people are welcome to attend Queer Web Project meetings. However, only those with a commitment to the project will have voting rights. All new candidates for directors will be appointed by consensus at any regular process meeting. Voting members have the rights to elect and dismiss posts, create new ones.

Posts

As of Meeting-06-05-08, posts have been defined. The aim of these posts is to make concrete work commitments that are implicitly taken up anyway - hopefully leading to greater transparency, and allowing us to define our roles and work load more clearly. The currently untaken roles will be assigned as and when there is a clear candidate for the role that has shown commitment to the project.

Coordinator

  • Responsible for coordinating the whole site and other contributors, chairing meetings and generally doing all the dogsbody work.
  • Assigned to kim.

Code Coordinator

  • Responsible for handling code contributions and code contributors. Has final say on what code goes in and what doesn't!
  • Assigned to lordrich.

Moderation Coordinator

  • Responsible for managing the moderation team (when it exists), contributors and their contributions.
  • Nominations: letyourlifesing.

Publicity/PR Coordinator

  • Responsible for advertising, publicity and general media coverage.
  • Open to nominations.

Accountant

  • Responsible for keeping track of our cashflow.
  • Nominations: sophie.

Visual Identity Coordinator

  • Responsible for site look and feel, and overall consistency.
  • Needs to manage other designers.
  • Open to nominations
  • Legal advice. This really needs to be a lawyer, the only role that has to be done properly, or not at all.
  • If we can't get a volunteer we can look at paying for one.
  • Open to nominations.
